C++-assisted exploitation lab - remote desktop credentials incorrect

Hello Everyone,

Apologies if there is a solution elsewhere; I looked but could not find anything specific. I am working with the Penetration Tester Student track and on the C+±assisted exploitation lab. I can connect utilizing OpenVPN and the remote desktop protocol works fine, but the credentials supplied for login indicate that the username or password is incorrect.

Does anyone have any information in regards to this? Thank you all for the assistance.

Launch the RDP using mstsc, fill in the IP 172.16.160.155:65520 then on the popup window, click on advanced options, make sure the username is just AdminELS .
I have observed that often windows add some computer/domain prefix, which results in the incorrect credentials error.
When i did the lab, I got the same error and when i checked the settings, the username was Microsoft\AdminELS
