HOWTO: Resolve the lab domain

For your convenience, let me introduce the solution also here for generic linux or mac.

  • First, in order to be able to resolve that domain you will need to add our (lab) DNS server to /etc/resolv.conf file. on mac, you need to edit /etc/resolver accordingly.
  • In order to be able to make use of external libraries, also please leave your default nameserver in the file, but leave it as the second entry

Below you can find example how your resolv.conf file should look like (Screenshot from my Kali Linux)

Afterwards you should be able to access lab domains like info.xss.labs
