OSPF Authentication

Hi
R1<--------f0/0------>R2
Area 0

R1)#router ospf 1
)#area 0 authentication
in this case how to write the password ?

OSPF (on Cisco devices) allows you to specify the type of authentication for all connected neighbors in an Area (as you’ve shown in your question) however, you still have to provide the password at the interface level, or within a configured Key-Chain. This allows you the flexibility to supply different passwords for different neighbors. There is no way to specify the OSPF authentication password within the OSPF process.
