Had an important question. Since ethical hackers do what they do in everyday real world scenarios. Is it safe to create a linkedIn profile or any social media platform? Basically advertising yourself, does that open yourself up to attacks by other bad actors? I understand for networking and for companies hiring its necessary for hiring and recruiting and so forth. Im just asking is it safe for students to do so?. Or should we use an alias? Until we achieve our goals, and get the certifications we set out for. Than create a LinkedIn with our experience and certs? I was informed that it may,make me a target for bad actors. Especially being inexperienced.
